Footprint Level

Footprint Level AB develops services for companies and organizations that show their climate footprint in relation to the 1.5 ° C target in the Paris Agreement. The services will include dynamic meters, that instead of showing a footprint at a certain time, the meter visualizes how the carbon footprint changes over time and can be set in relation to the Paris Agreement with an in-house developed index. In this way, the organization gets a clear indication of how well the transition is going. In the spring of 2021, a second pilot study is underway with several companies where the services and business model will be validated. Erik Huss is a Senior Sustainability Advisor on the Footprint Levels Advisory Board. Read more at Footprint Level

Wavez – We Reduce CO2 At Sea AB

Wavez helps boat owners with climate investments in bio-based permanent storage of carbon in bedrock. The customer specifies how much fuel is used and how much carbon dioxide this combustion generates, and buys storage for exactly this amount through the company Creturner, which stores coal in old abandoned mine shafts. Leftover wood waste is converted through solar-powered pyrolysis into pure carbon and mixed with water. This is then transported deep into the bedrock where, in addition to being permanently stored, the carbon also acts as activated carbon and cleans any contamination in the mine. Erik also acts as a scientific adviser to Waves.

Bolin Centre for Climate Research

Husstainability has been collaborating with the Bolin Centre for Climate Research, at Stockholm University, for a couple of years. The centre's focus is on increasing knowledge about the earth's natural climate system, climate variations, climate impact processes, climate modeling, human impact on the climate and the climate impact on ecosystems, biodiversity and human living conditions, and how society can minimize negative climate impact. The purpose of the collaboration is to increase the understanding between research and business through workshops, lectures, conferences and meetings in, among other things, the Bolin Center's climate arena.
